Chapter 40: The March of Time

Willow is laid to rest next to Derek on a Friday. The family has gathered, and it's with heavy hearts they say goodbye to someone who has meant so much to so many of them.

Back home, Daisy comforts her best friend. Whatever is going on, he's glad for her support.

On the wall by the stairs, a wall has been dedicated to pictures of the family in general, and to Willow especially, allowing the family to remember her well.

Harmony is struggling, and when her birthday comes up, she's still grieving. Christmas and Jamie tries to make the most of the party anyway, and host it at the Celebration Centre to remind Harmony less of who isn't there. It doesn't really work, but the party is okay, she supposes.

She ages to have the heart on your sleeve and cat lover traits. And as for her hair, I've allowed myself a CC version of the one from Cats and Dogs without the ears for everyday.

But as she is rather quirky, she wears her cat ear diadem when dressing up for parties.

Back home, her room has gotten a make over. Is it the most practical layout of the room? Nope. But Harmony like the quirkiness and strange angles, and she keeps all her shelves with her egg-collection. Grandma's magic bean collection has a shelf of it's own above her bed.

Like her mother, Harmony is rather creative and likes painting. But she also loves books just like her dad, and gardening just like her grandmother.

What she doesn't like is scouting. So just as soon as she started, she quits.

This might have made Christmas a bit disappointed, but right now she has her own issues at work to deal with.

Luckily the classes are a success, and the community center is back on track before it's time for little Amity to age up to a toddler. Once more, the Oasis Springs side of the family can't make it, and so it's Jamie's relatives, along with Daisy, who show up for the birthday party. For Christmas, this is when she miss her mother the most. But people enjoy dinner, and Amity is in a good mood. Things could be worse.

Time to "blow out" the candles.

And since she never learned crawling, Amity decides that it's time to make up for being imobile for so long. (I hadn't seen this one before!)

It does pose a challenge to keep her where she is, especially since the teens are busy playing games and completely focused on their own little world.

But the kids music channel and allowing her to dance turns out to be a good option. It's the closest to gold that Christmas has ever gotten during a party. One day, she tells herself, she will host the perfect party.
